OBIE TRICE LEAVES SHADY RECORDS !!!!

HOPE OBIE COMES BACK ON THE INDEPENDENT CIRCUIT AND RELEASES A HOT ALBUM....DUDE GOT TALENT!!!

Detroit MC Obie Trice has called it quits with Shady Records. Conflicting reports are saying that he was either dropped from or left the label on his own volition but reason for the split has yet to be confirmed.

In a display of possibly deliberate irony, Trice released the track “Giant” which speaks to the current situation with the label on Sunday (June 29). “Well, no more Shady. Guess it was meant/For me to branch off from my Caucasian friend/Nope, no more 2nd place to Eminem/Question if I was 2nd is the question to many men/No disrespect to Em, he’s first/Anything after, research the verses,” says Trice.

Trice then expressed his displeasure with Interscope saying, “I murdered e’ything when I wore the Shady logo/O is a mogul/Low on the totem pole ‘cause Interscope’s loco/Now I’m getting mo’ dough.”

After joining Shady Records in 2000, Trice was introduced to the mainstream audience through D12’s “Devil’s Night.” He moved on to release his debut “Cheers” in 2003 which was certified platinum by the RIAA. 2006’s “Second Round’s On Me,” however, failed to match the success of it’s predecessor.

The fate of Trice’s third release, “Bottom’s Up,” has yet to be known being that he is now without a record deal.
